Author: Aydan Corkern
Title: Ways To Be Careful When Driving In The Rain

Article: Have you ever noticed that when you drive and it is raining outside, your car or truck slides a bit? This is because the water makes it slippery and can be dangerous if you drive too fast. It can make your tires spin when you stop or go, so you have to be very careful when you are behind someone. That is why they put out signs that say "Slippery when wet" so they can warn you and let you know to be more aware and cautious when it is wet. If there is too much water on the road, it can make you swerve and make you hydroplane and can go off the road. It can make your car feel funny when you are driving, and it can your brakes really touchy when you try to slow down or stop.

You need to have good tires that have good traction on them so you can stop better in water and on ice. If it is cold outside and it has been raining, there will be water on the road, which can freeze and turn to ice if the weather is cold enough, making it dangerous to be on the road. Ice can make you have an accident and fly off the road. Ice can look black or clear depending on whether gravel or concrete is used and what color it is.

It is not a good idea to drive if it is this way because you can get hurt orarticleed if the ice causes the car to slip. It is why they put ice melt on the road. It melts the ice so you can drive, but you still have to be very careful because it still might be dangerous for you and others.

When it is raining it can make it hard to see out your window, and you have to pull over and get off the road because you may run off it. You need to have good window wipes for you to see out of the window and so you won't get into an accident.

You need to make sure the motor is running right and well so it does not freeze up on you when it is raining. If it is coming down too hard, then you don't need to be out in it. You need to stay home or get somewhere safe until it calms down, and you can get out of it. Try not to get behind a big truck when it is raining because it will make it worse depending on how bad it is. Aydan Corkern is a writer of many topics, visit some of her sites, like

Author: Georges Sanchez
Title: How Your Car Costs Can Be Reduced

Article: According to folks, the correct awareness of chemistry and its effects on gas and fuel could help you seriously in stretching your dollar. This is because mavens in chemistry explain that gas actually becomes denser in cooler temperatures. Now, gas pumps measure the volume of the fuel and not the density, you would be getting a better and larger quantity of gas for your cash if you buy this commodity during cold weather. That is the reason why people offer a piece of advice when purchasing gas : buy in the early morning or at night. This is when the temperature is cooler compared to the temperature during 12 p.m. Time.

However, this is only a small part of keeping your costs when it comes to driving lower. Automobile gurus have come up with advice about how to further cut back your driving costs.

One of the tricks up these mavens sleeve is to use the automobile when only necessary. People have become very dependent on their autos so much so the simple and short trip to the mall will require them to still use the automobile. This is notwithstanding the fact that one could simply take a short walk to the mall to get there. Or, short trips may done by riding a bike.

Two % is reduced from your fuel mileage if your automobile has under inflated tires. So it'd be best to test your vehicle's tire pressure continually. Professionals advocate that you check your tires monthly. If your tires are under inflated, it also suggests that it is very much prone to wear and damage which is another added cost to driving.

By keeping your speed in the limit, you are really saving up to 20 percent of fuel. So, be sure that you obey those speed limits. Also, do not accelerate or brake suddenly if not required. These use up a great amount of gas that, when combined, costs you a great deal of cash.

Air conditioning also uses up fuel economy from a low of ten percent to a high of 20 %. It also uses up your battery and drains it. Use the wind during sunny days. It might be more fun to drive with the wind in your hair. Also, excess weight on your automobile has a tendency to gobble up your fuel. Cut the amount of load or luggage that you have.

Damaged parts also compare to losing gas. This is essentially as the entire auto system has to work double time to keep the vehicle running well notwithstanding the fact that some parts are not running well. Automobile experts advocate that you replace these parts right away instead of spend more on gas. Auto Parts Discount is one car parts store that offers quality parts at low costs. They are well-known for their topnotch Audi parts and accessories. How fast can your car travel at top speed? Compare you car to some of the fastest cars in the world at www.thesupercars.org and also have a look at {{{Audi Le Mans Quattro Concept|Audi Le Mans Quattro|Audi Le Mans Quatro|Audi Le Mans Concept|Audi Le Mans car|Audi Le Mans Quattro specs|Audi Le Mans pictures|Audi Nuvolari|Audi Nuvolari Quattro|Audi Nuvolari Quattro concept|Audi Nuvolari concept
Syndication Source: ThoughtSearch.com

Author: Lawrence J. Reaves
Title: Stay Safe Riding Your Scooter or Vespa with These Safety Tips

Article: If you are considering a Scooter or a Vespa as your primary means of transportation to save money, there are some things you need to know. Mopeds and Scooters are not the same, Scooters and Vespas have different motor vehicle regulations and safety issues than their larger cousin the Moped. Scooters are inexpensive and they can save you a lot of money on gas and insurance. Scooters are easy to maintain and they depreciate slowly. However, because of their relatively smaller size, scooters are hard to see by drivers of motor vehicles especially in traffic and the most frequent injuries are fractures to arms and legs. The following tips will help you have safe "scootering":

Wear bright or reflective clothing to maximize your visibility at night.

Wear a DOT, ANSI, OR Snell-approved helmet which are designed with hard outer shells and a retention system to protect the head and the brain in a variety of impacts. In 2006, 41% of thosearticleed in crashes were not wearing a helmet.

If your helmet is not equipped with a face shield, wear goggles or glasses with plastic lenses to protect your eyes against insects, wind, dirt, rocks, or other airborne matter.

Wear elbow and knee pads.

Wear slip-resistant shoes and avoid wearing sandals, flip-flops or shoes with laces.

Ride with the flow of traffic.

Obey the speed limits and never travel faster than your skill level or than the conditions allow.

Know how to use hand signals and signal well before you make a turn or lane change.

Use extra caution at intersections, parking lot entrances and exits, and driveways.

Avoid hitting road hazards, such as sharp bumps and holes in the road surface. These hazards can cause loss of control or damage.

Be especially conscious of traffic from behind.

Do not operate your scooter at night. The scooter is not equipped to be operated in the dark or low light conditions. It may not be easily visible to cars, pedestrians or other scooters.

If you ride at night, make sure you have a safety headlight for your scooter.

Ride only on smooth hard surfaces. Motor scooters are not designed to be used in off road conditions. Use caution when rolling over obstacles.

Avoid gravel or uneven roads.

Do not allow the motorized scooter to be used in the rain, nor to be driven through puddles of water. The motor, batteries and controls can be damaged if exposed to water.

The scooter should be used by only one person at a time. Do not carry additional persons or items while riding. Do not put additional loads on the motor scooter by pulling or towing anything.

Scooters must have a seat for highway use.

Park so you do not block sidewalks, handicap and building accesses, or emergency drives

Check all joints, hinges and quick releases to ensure the scooter is properly assembled. Stop using the scooter immediately if any joint, hinge, or quick release becomes loose.

Maintain proper air pressure in the tires. Low air pressure induces extra rolling friction, reduces ground clearance, and wears the tires quicker.

If the brake lever touches the handlebar grip, stop using the scooter until the lever is adjusted.

This checklist is not completely exhaustive. You should check for state specific rules with your local DMV.
Author: Art Gib
Title: Driver's Education: Making the Roads a Safer Place for All

Article: Most high schools and some independent agencies in the United States offer special classes and conduct programs and courses in driver's education. The process of driver's education teaches high school students to drive and operate a car with safety and also learn the various traffic rules and codes.

Students who enroll in a driving education program learn to handle a vehicle on the road using a car that has a brake on both sides so that in case the student makes any mistake, it can be controlled by the instructor to rectify that mistake.

For a time, student cars came equipped with dual steering wheels. Research found, however, that instructors were doing too much of the driving, preventing the student from learning. Since that time, instructor steering wheels have been removed from student cars.

There are government printed handbooks which detail all the rules and the different road signals that a student must be absolutely sure of. The handbook helps the students to be well prepared, at least theoretically, for the test for their driving license or permit that is conducted by the government.

There are also specialized formal education courses actually ensure that the students do not operate a vehicle without having proper instruction and are eligible to do so. Some students who have undergone these programs are provided with discounts by some vehicle insurance companies and this is a great attraction for many students interested in buying a vehicle for themselves.

The best feature of one of these programs is that it is not the operation of the car or the driving techniques that are given importance, but the emotional and psychological aspects that are given due importance, such as how to control road rage and sudden reflexes, make proper judgment of distance and space, and learning how to use common sense.

These type of programs also extend to teaching essential factors like driving in extreme climatic conditions in snowy and peak winter conditions. The program basically helps students to avoid situations that can lead to accidents and also enables the students to deal with situations like accidents.

All the aspects of driving are covered in these programs. Besides driving, the students are taught to park the car effectively whether it is a congested area or on a hill.

One of the greatest benefits driver's education in general is that there has been a radical decline in the number of road accidents that have taken place since formalized programs have been initiated. Though the rules and regulations of required instruction vary from state to state, the duration is somewhat similar in almost all the states. The normal duration of the course consists of 30 hours of classroom training and 6 hours of practical driving lessons.

Such formal instruction courses have come as a boon to most of the students because they can now learn to drive according to the law of the land and not be a cause for any road mishap.
Author: Mike Selvon
Title: A Razor Scooter Is The Ideal Fuel Efficient Device

Article: In these trying economical times, are you looking for something that would alleviate spending so much at the pumps? It may be a perfect reason to check out those alternative modes of transportation, including a Razor scooter. It is definitely not one of those kick scooters that you made out of roller skate wheels and wood when you were a kid.

Fuel efficiency is one of your biggest concerns when looking for alternate modes of transportation and powered scooters are a great choice. There are many different models ensuring that you will find one that is right for you.

Make sure you check out all of the scooter products, including the Razor electric and gas scooters. Perhaps one reason why Razors are so popular is because they attain high speeds and have a unique braking system that allows the driver to stop by merely stepping down on the rear fender. The shock absorbing system on the Razor E300 electric scooter ensures that you will have a far more comfortable ride.

When deciding which would be the best scooter for you and your family, consider that each Razor scooter has a unique set of features available so that you will be able to compare the different models and find one perfect for everyone in the family. If you have a 3 to 5 year old child, then consider the Jr. Kiddie Kick, as it is made of durable materials and will support a maximum weight of 45 pounds.

There are 2 major scooters that are suitable for anyone 6 and older that can handle from 175 to 220 pounds. They are the Razor Cruiser and the Razor Pro that have skill levels of intermediate and advanced. These powered scooters work exceptionally well with performing stunts and they are also capable of traveling longer distances.

It is not necessary to have insurance, license plates or be registered in order to operate a Razor scooter; however, there are some laws that most states have in common. For instance, you must wear a bike helmet and you are not allowed to operate on a public road with a speed limit of 25 mph or more unless it is in a bike lane.

The scooter must have red reflectors that are visible from 500 feet and a headlight that is visible from 300 feet. The scooter cannot operate in excess of 15 mph, yet keep in mind that most states also have their own individual laws concerning powered scooters so you need to check with your state to make sure you understand all that is required. Find out more about the razor scooter from Mike Selvon informative collection of articles and learn more at the cheap scooters blog.

Syndication Source: ThoughtSearch.com

Author: Billy Whitmire
Title: How to Enjoy the Great Outdoors with Your New ATV

Article: Over the last 10 years, individuals, couples and families have learned they can enjoy the great outdoors with their new ATV. Because of this, the recreational use of all terrain vehicles has increased substantially, and continues to do so. This increase in the use of an ATV has opened up many resources for riders previously not available. Many people want the excitement of the wilderness, while many prefer to stay close to home. Whatever the preference, resources now exist to accommodate every ATV rider.

Here are some options that will help you to enjoy the great outdoors with your new ATV:

-State Parks
-Private Land
-ATV Parks
-Vacationing

State Parks

The greatest holders of wilderness land in many areas are state governments, making state parks ideal locations for finding the best ATV trails. These trails are maintained well, and are mapped out for easy access. Many trails are free of charge to use while others require a small fee. Periodic patrols by rangers also make riding state park trails safe for the whole family.

State parks are spending more money then ever before to create and maintain riding trails. State parks offer many opportunities for ATV riders to enjoy the great outdoors.

Private Land

Much of the land that is desirable for trekking on ATV is of course privately owned land. Now this doesn't mean it is inaccessible for riding; in fact, many private land owners allow ATV riders to use their land for excursions. A lot of pristine private land can be accessed simply by asking for permission. You should always make certain to respect posted land signs and not trespass without permission.

When gaining access to private land for ATV riding, you should leave the wilderness in the same condition as you found it.

ATV Parks

Commercial ATV parks are becoming more and more popular as sources of great riding amenities. The parks feature circular, motocross style and trail riding features to satisfy every kind of ATV rider. ATV parks are generally safer, as the trails, and tracks are maintained better, and more consistently. Campgrounds, showers and restaurants make these parks a one stop attraction for those who don't want to be too far from the comforts of home.

For a fun and challenging weekend, commercial ATV parks are ideal locations for providing safe and well maintained trails for riders of every skill level.

Vacationing

A great opportunity for bonding and reconnecting with the family is to pack up your camping gear and go on an ATV vacation. It will require a bit of research and preparation, but it will be worth the time and trouble. Just think about it - a family vacation camping in the great outdoors, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! You won't even have to hike at all if you don't want to, you can ride in on your ATV!

A family camping vacation in the wilderness is a great way to recharge and enjoy the great outdoors. As more people discover the versatility of ATVs, they are rapidly growing in popularity. Also check out GIO Bikes for a low priced dirt bike for sale or an electric scooter for sale.

Syndication Source: ThoughtSearch.com

Author: Debbie Ray
Title: Get a Jeep and Enjoy Your Freedom

Article: If we Americans are going to get to vote on which of the BIG THREE auto companies survive, I put my vote in for Chrysler! Why? Because they make JEEPS and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY JEEP!!!

In Colorado, where I live, there are Jeeps galore, so it seems kind of strange to think that the manufacturer of the Jeep is in financial trouble! Whenever you are on the road anywhere here, you can always see at least one other Jeep in your range of vision ... and usually it is more like 3 or 4!

The Jeep Wrangler seems to be really popular here in Colorado, but maybe that is just because I drive a Jeep Wrangler, so those are the ones I most readily recognize. Its really interesting to me that you see all types of people driving a Jeep - from businessmen in suits and women in dresses and high heels to long-haired Baby Boomers looking to regain their youth in a fun, young-looking vehicle.

If you live where there is a winter season a lot of the year, complete with snow and ice, then you'll love a Jeep. Throw it into 4-wheel drive and off you go! If you live where there are mountains and valleys and off-road trails, you'll love driving a Jeep! And if you live in areas of the country where it is warmer most of the year, no problem. The Jeep is also a great warm weather vehicle - you can take off the roof, remove the side windows, roll up the back window, take off the doors ... or all of the above if you want! Take off into the back country where you can find loads of peace and quiet.

If you like a big vehicle that still gets semi-decent gas mileage, then you'll love a Jeep too! The Jeep sits high, so you can easily see over traffic and not feel like you will be run over because the other drivers can't see you. I have to admit though, the ride of the Wrangler isn't the luxury smooth ride of some other cars, but if that's not a concern of yours, its positive features far outweigh any negatives it may have.

Check out the Jeep if you love the wind in your hair, the sound of the highway in your ears, the feel of the tires hugging the road, and the knowledge that your vehicle will get you out of just about any situation you may find yourself in - anytime, anywhere!
Author: Jeff Ryan
Title: The Acura Integra - A Tremendously Popular Sports Coupe

Article: The Acura Integra is a sizzling car model from the Japanese automaker, which is sold Worldwide as Honda Integra except in North America. The model was manufactured in 1985 and produced up to the year 2007, by making necessary modifications in the model. The headquarters of the company model is located in the Sayama in Japan. The most advantageous feature of the model is its compact size and low cost. The company had offered this car keeping eye on the other brand of the car in the competition market of 1980-90s. This model had replaced the early model Honda Quint of the company.

The period from 1986 to 1989 is considered as the first generation of the Integra models. Company had offered the model with the 3-door and 5-door hatchback with 1.6 L engine capacity. The transmissions were 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. The length of the vehicle was about 168.7 inches for 3-door and 171.5 inches for 5-door. The width of the model was about 65.6 inches and height was about 50.8 inches. The fuel capacity was 50 L. initially, the Acura Integra was considered as the mid-size car in Japan. Presence of a 4-cylinder and 16-valve engine was another feature.

The above features attracted the buyers and it had been estimated that about 228,000 models were bought during the four year times of the first generation model of Acura Integra. There were two types engine with the codes D16A1. The models were named as the Blacktop and Brown top depending upon their valve colors. However, the only disadvantage may be the less torque and less power of the vehicles.

The span from 1990-93 was considered as the second generation of the Acura Integra. The length of the model was about 172.8 inches for the hatchback and 176.6 inches for the Sedan models. The width was about 67.4 inches for the 1990 models and about 67.5 inches for the models of 1991 to 1993. The Integra was about 5 to 52.2 inches height for the second generation vehicles. The fuel capacity was same as the 80s model with 50L capacity.

Some notable features of the new Integra were the VTEC system with a torque 8000 rpm, sun roof, DB2 chassis code. In 1994, the Integra hit the market with its new advanced features and soon followed by the new fourth generation model in 1994 and famous as Acura RSX. In 2006, Evo magazine has called the Integra as the best front wheel drive drivers. Jeff Ryan creates quality articles to help you learn more on interest(s) you may have.

Author: Tony Hill
Title: Does Insight Justify It\'s Price Tag?

Article: The new Honda Insight is packed with features to ensure that you get the most out of your fuel - and you will be pleased to hear that it has been claimed that the Insight is the world's cheapest petrol - electric hybrid car!

Every time I visit the petrol station lately the fuel prices seem to be slowly creeping back up, so a car that promises to make every penny count sounds good to me!

At a time when we are all trying to make each penny last this is certainly good news. But how much does the new Honda Insight cost in the first place?

Prices for the Insight SE start from around 15,490 GBP - which for a practical family hatch-back that promises lower fuel costs isn't too bad, but there are still plenty of good hatchbacks that start from around 8,000. So the Honda Insight has to justify the higher price. The question is how much fuel will it save you year on year and how does it save you fuel?

The Honda Insight is installed with an Eco Assist System which shows you how efficiently you are driving - whilst you are driving. You will be warned if you break or speed excessively by your speedometer changing from green to blue. After a week of driving the new Insight you will be trained to pure driving efficiency!

The Insight also scores you on how efficiently you have been driving with its unique Eco score function - which is then added to your lifetime score. The better your score the more money you have saved on fuel - simple as that!

And finally the Econ Mode button adjusts the car to make the most of every last drop of fuel - it cleverly does this by adjusting the air conditioning unit, extending the idle stop time and increasing regenerative recharging when you brake!

The Honda Insight also promises reliability too as Honda have slapped an 8 year or 100,000 mile warranty on the car which gives you piece of mind that your Honda should keep running for a while at least.

The Honda Insight really does squeeze every last penny out of your petrol, however there are now a selection of Econavs available that also teach you to drive efficiently and they will only set you back around 200 pounds. The Econav follows the same kind of course as the insight and teach you to drive efficiently by telling you what speed you should be driving at and what gear you should be in. The Econav also suggests that after six months you can save as much as 200 on fuel - which is the cost of the Econav. So, 15,000 + on a Honda Insight or 200 on an Econav?
Author: Gregg Hall
Title: Why Car Shows Are So Popular And Why You Should Attend Them

Article: Most people wonder what the big deal is with car shows and what is so good about them. The answer is cars and more cars, the car shows are not just about cars getting together to show off what they have, I mean that is the point of the car show but that isn't the only thing that goes on at a car show. If you have ever been to a car show or an NOPI event then you know what goes on. You have a best car in show, best looking car, most customized, best restored. You have all kinds of places to win an award. They even have bikini contest at most car shows and that is the best part of the whole car show.

For that person that is bringing their car to the show it is a day that they will never forget if it is their first time entering a car show. They will enter their car and then be able to park it, detail it a little more since they drove it to the show and then just clean it up just a little bit before the judging begins.

There are dog shows on TV just like there are car shows in magazines. There isn't any difference to a car show from a dog show. Who really cares about seeing dogs walk around on TV that is pretty lame if you were to ask me? I would rather have my shows on the discovery channel then be watching the dog shows. It doesn't make any money unless people come to the event and that is insane.

Of the hundreds of cars that enter car shows there are only a handful of ones that are given prizes and awards at the end. Those few that do win something have been deemed the ones with the best looking cars and if that was your first car show and you won a prize then your car must have been a good looking one.

A lot of people that do not even have a car are always at the shows looking at the cars looking at which ones look the best and just look the best in general. There are tons of people who go to a car show and do not have a show car. That is ok because that will just motivate you to get a car of you like those types of cars. Even though I don't really care for show cars they are cool just too much money to spend on one car.

Even though car shows are not always considered a sport there are many contests that go on with a car show that you can say are sports, like racing laps with other cars that is a sport. Drifting is a sport and that happens at a lot of NOPI events and just a lot of car shows in general if it is a car show contest or something like that.
Author: Gregg Hall
Title: A Guide To Easy Car Amplifier Installation

Article: Installing car amplifiers is challenging. You have to make sure the amplifier gets enough air circulation to keep from overheating while enclosing it in a way that prevents theft. Satisfying these needs doesn't always yield the best looking results. But, you can still show off your personal style when installing your amplifier with these simple suggestions.

Picture how you want the amp to look. Are you thinking "high tech" with a concealed panel? Or, are you going for a more industrial look with visible cables? Paint it; Wrap it in leather, carpet, or vinyl. Use your imagination and your rack design will show your style.

Airflow is a major consideration when installing an amplifier. The electronics in the amplifier produce a lot of heat when you crank up volume, and heat can damage the components. Ample airflow is essential for good performance and reliability and two ways to accomplish this are convection and forced-air systems.

The simplest cooling method is convection. It's simple because most car amplifiers come with convection cooling already built in. Convection occurs when the warm air inside the amplifier rises and dissipates through the fins of the aluminum heat sink. Warm air is replaced by cooler air drawn from below creating a continuous circulation of cool air that prevents the amp from overheating. Convection cooling works fine as long as the air circulates. The ideal would be to install the rack on a vertical surface in an open space with the fins vertically aligned.

A forced air system has triple the cooling capacity of a simple convection system. Simply adding an electric fan to increase airflow over the amplifier's heat sinks makes a big difference. That's one reason why high power amplifiers have thermostats; thermostats control the fans. If your rack holds multiple convection cooled amplifiers, it's worth it to install multiple fans. The cooler the amps, the longer they'll last. Running power for a fan is just a matter of connecting with the source unit's remote turn on lead since most accessory fans run on 12v DC. When the system turns on, the fans start up along with the other components on that circuit.

Now that you've got this great amplifier you want to show it off, but, how do you keep it from being stolen? If you can see the rack from the outside, you could be tempting fate. Consider one of the following options to prevent someone from stealing your equipment.

1.Make it detachable by fastening the amp rack with wing nuts. If the amplifier takes up cargo space, being able to take it out of the vehicle is an asset. However, removing the rack every time you park your car can be a hassle.

2.Create a removable secret panel to conceal the rack. The cover can be made of anything from fabric to fiberboard.

3.Install a good security system.

Use all three deterrents for the ultimate protection. Detachability provides extra security and additional cargo space when necessary. A removable panel is convenient. And, finally, a security system provides the last defense. You put a lot of effort into this project. Protect your work in style. Gregg Hall is an author living in Navarre Beach, Florida.
Author: Gregg Hall
Title: How To Find The Best Quality Car Shows For The Newest Models

Article: If you don't like huge car shows with a lot of cars then that may be something that you are not interested in. If so, you may want to just go to the make car shows where they show off the newest models of cars that have just came off the production line.

These types of shows are often pretty good because you are getting to see brand new cars that nobody else has even seen yet or drove. You are the first person to see cars that have just came off the production line. Most of these cars are the newest models that have been talked about for months and have finally came out.

Sometimes these events are open to the public and other times they are just for the press and so the newspaper can get to know about them first. Other times you are allowed to come and gander at all the cars and the new models are just something to look at and have fun with. You will be able to look in and see what they look like so if you were thinking about buying one you will to see first hand what they look like inside and out.

These types of car shows are going to be different then the car shows that you are probably used to. You are going to be used to seeing a lot of cars and a lot of variety but not here at the special car shows you will be lucky to get an invite. These shows are just for the newest models only and those models could be anything from Saturn to Lamborghini. So if you like cars then you should like these car shows.

If you are trying to find out where these car shows are being held the best advice that I can give you is to look in the newspaper or to go to the dealerships and ask them if they are having any car shows for new models. If they cannot give you any more advice then I don't know what to tell you because I don't know anything more then you about these new model car shows. You will be lucky to find them and probably will have better luck finding them then asking for directions all day and trying to find out where it is.

Some of these many events or car shows whatever you want to call them have dress codes. This is because these are brand new cars and some of these cars can be anything from cheap cars to Lamborghinis. So if you want to learn about where these events are then you just need to keep up with the magazines and cover about them. The best bet you probably have is looking in the newspaper for them. You will most likely find them and then be able to attend the events but be sure to get the info about the show before you go.
Author: Kevin Bailey
Title: What Can Make Your Car Look Extremely Cool

Article: When it comes to your car, there are a lot of people that want to invest in making their cool look better, go faster, and do more things. Unforunately, these things often come at a hefty price. Along with that, they need to be installed, and that is more expensive than the product itself half the time.

There is one way that you can definitely add the "cool" factor to your car, through a body kit. The great thing about a body kit is the ability to customize. There are so many different variations of body kits that it would be practically impossible to find every one of them.

Body kits are somewhat like spoilers, ground effects, rims, and other accessories you can add to your car that make it look better. Overall, body kits are the most bang for your buck. Aftermarket companies have done a great job creating the best looking body kits for the camry.

The reason that body kits are such a good investment is only when you buy them online. You can get them very affordable, and have a lot more options then local shops. You can have custom-made body kits where you pretty much tell them what you want the body kit to emphasize and then they will do it, but that comes at a bigger price tag.

Other than that, there are pre-designed and pre-built body kits that the company has put together which they feel looks best for what they are trying to achieve. These are always a good bet to make especially if you have seen their work on several cars, and the price you are going to be will be extremely cheaper.

A great money saving tip is that if you plan on buying a new car, and you want to get the top of the line manufactured version, don't. They overcharge you way too much for what it really costs to have the parts and accessories made.

Take the time and buy the stock, and get your own body kit, get your own accessories, and get your own engine modifications. Not only will it cost you less, it will be more customized to your likings, so you will enjoy it more. Also, you will get a better deal on what your doing as well, whether it be better performance, better look, or better accessories, you will often find that to be true.

Many body kits can be assembled by yourself, but sometimes they ask for alterations to certain parts, and if you are not experienced with what you are doing, you definitely don't want to ruin your brand new body kit, or even worse your car. Take the time and money and go to a shop that can help you get it installed right, even if you have to pay a few extra dollars.

On top of that, most body kits come unpainted, thus you would need to get it painted. Some people know how to paint a body kit well, but if you have a brand new beamer, your not going to want to do it yourself. Because, those glossy paint jobs aren't easy to replicate on your own, getting it done by a professional is the best bet to keep your car looking smooth.

What you have to watch out for is their return policy, make sure to test every piece, without drilling or altering the original body kit at all, you want to make sure all of the pieces will fit into place before you do anything. A lot of body kit sellers will not allow you to return ot exchange your product, thus you want to make sure that you got the right thing.

There are many different styles you will find from wide, to normal, customized or not, and some with more material than others. It's all about preference when it comes to a body kit, you have to look around and see what you like the best, and then go from there.

If you have the knowledge, tools, and the ability to install the body kit on your own, go ahead and go for it. Even though it may say it is recommended to have it installed by a professional, that is so that people who don't have any experience with cars, specifically body kits, won't try to put it together and mess something up to the point where they can't assemble it anymore.

Make sure, if you've been thinking about getting a body kit, compare prices between different websites, and make sure to look at all of the body kits you can find for your car's make and model before you purchase one, because often times you'll find one you like more later on.
Author: Everette Jamison
Title: Correcting Your Car\'s Steady Pull

Article: Under normal circumstances, you should be able to let go of your steering wheel while moving forward without your vehicle drifting to one side. In reality, millions of drivers own cars that have a steady pull. They're not built that way. If your vehicle is pulling to one side, there's a problem somewhere. You can compensate for the drift by applying constant pressure to the steering wheel, but that can become tiring. Ideally, you should identify the issue and have it resolved.

Below, we'll take a look at a few factors that may be causing your car to drift. Most of these problems are relatively easy for any mechanic to fix.

Camber Misalignment

This is a measurement of how far your tires slant vertically when you're looking at them from the front or back. A negative camber means the top is tilting inward (or toward the engine). A positive camber means the top is slanting outward. If any of your tires have a positive camber (even by a half-degree), it can cause a pulling problem toward that side.

There are a lot of things that might contribute to a positive camber, including bent struts and spindles, damaged springs, and a misaligned engine cradle.

Caster Misalignment

Caster measures how far the steering axis tilts forward or backward. If it tilts forward, the caster is said to be negative. If backward, positive. Your car will pull toward the side that has a negative caster. If both sides do, it will pull toward the side that has the lowest - or, most negative - caster.

Caster misalignment can be caused by the same factors that can lead to a positive camber (bad struts, bad spindles, etc.).

Problems With The Rear Axle

If the tires in the front are aligned properly, it is still possible that the tires in the rear are misaligned. This is often due to excessive toe in the rear axle. Toe measures the amount that the wheels are turned inward or outward. When they point inward, they are said to have a positive toe (or, toe-in). If they point outward, the toe is negative (or, there is toe-out). Other problems might include a bent or curved axle, or an issue with the chassis.

Dragging In The Brakes

Occasionally, the pulling may be caused by a drag in the brake system. This can include the parking brake, a sticky caliper, or even too much fluid in the master cylinder. You can usually tell whether the brakes are causing the issue by propping your vehicle up and spinning the tires with your hands.

Each of the problems described above is simple to fix once it has been diagnosed. If you're noticing a pull to one side while driving, take your car into a repair shop. The mechanic can easily check the camber, caster, rear axle alignment, and the brakes to find and fix the problem.
Author: Gregg Hall
Title: Some Key Points Of Importance When Maintaining Tires

Article: Tires are the back bone of the vehicles. They have many functions like handling the mass of the vehicle, giving response to the steering action and also responding to the acceleration and brake pedals. This has to be maintained healthier in order to get a great performance out of your car. Let us have brief information about the tips to maintain the tire.

The inflation of the tire should be maintained according to the size of the tire. The large wheel base tire requires large inflation. The inflation pressure should be checked regularly. When the inflation is high than normal pressure, then there is a chance for the tire to get busted. If it is low than normal, then it will become prone to puncture and reduces the life of the tube. The tread of the tire is also to be maintained. The tread wear out should be discovered as early as possible.

When the edges of the tread get damaged then it is the owner's responsibility to check the alignment of the wheels. This is a huge problem in the cars. When the alignment is poor then even the new tire will worn out even in 20,000 miles. This is because the vehicle intends to move in a particular direction when it is idle other than straighter direction.

Tire rotation is a best treatment in maintaining the tires. The front tires are prone to easy wear and tear and it should be rotated regularly. Bringing the front tire to the back and vice versa will have a good performance in the tiers. When the tires are punctured then the punctured material should be taken out from the tire to prevent further puncture and increase life of the tire. When the vehicle is in idle condition, it should not be exposed to the over heat conditions. This is another cause for tire wear out.

When the tire is mounted on the disc after repairing the puncture or after tire rotation, it should be balanced accordingly. Irregular balancing will cause tire vibration and wears out easily. Sudden brakes should be avoided to maintain the grip and tread of the tire. Low acceleration in rough road condition is also a good tire maintenance technique. Thus maintaining tires is easy and should be done regularly that will help in increasing the performance of both the tire and the car.

The proper maintenance of your tires is not only a safety factor but will also go far in improving your fuel economy. Gregg Hall is an author living on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
